Tucson, AZ is a short trip south from Phoenix. Between these two cities are some very interesting stops to sightsee. Our first stop was the Casa Grande Ruins National Monument, an eleven-room, eleven-family, 600 apartment building built by ancient Hohokam and Pubelo Indian farmers. The four story structure was constructed of mub blocks 5 feet long, 2 feet high and 4 feet thick. There are many missions that have beautiful architecture. The Saguaro National Monument is a botonical park with many types of catus and other desert plants.
